Images taken while on the ultimate road trip through Malawi, visiting programs combating HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and child marriage and in support of female empowerment. Driving from one end of the country to the other, the scenes I observed from our truck blazing past were always colourful, interesting and inspiring.
New Orleans holds a special place in my heart, as my paternal grandmother is from there, so there are family roots. But it's also a place of profound history, folklore and mystery - and it's the feeling of ghosts and spirits in the quiet places that intrigues me the most.
Photographs taken on a site visit to a refugee camp in Bor, South Sudan, as well as areas in and around Juba. This was my first trip to South Sudan and my first time in a refugee camp. It is also worth saying that the intention behind these images was not to exploit these women or children or their situations. It was to bear witness, to show the evidence of their existence. All of these children wanted to be seen. To be photographed. I am working on a self-published book with these images, hopefully to be produced by the end of this year and with proceeds from the sale of the book to be donated to one of the agencies working with refugees in the region.
