I was raised by an artist and grew up in a household where there was no disparity between creative disciplines. You would do, you would make. You simply were. An artist. And whatever you put your hand to, whatever your creative process or output, that was your art. So I am an artist. I draw and paint. I take photographs. I write constantly. I combine them all together and make books by hand. I've created large-scale photographic installations and written and directed plays and performance art pieces. I make tiny, beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces of stationary for people to write love letters in. In a nutshell, I make stuff. Hopefully that either has an impact on the head or the heart. In an ideal world, I'd prefer both.
